In Ireland 1 in 4 women who have been in a relationship have experienced abuse at the hands of their current or former partner. Almost three quarters of domestic abuse incidences involve repeat offending, 27% of these victims are attacked 3 or more times. So, it wouldn’t be unbelievable to assume you know someone who is in an abusive relationship.In some instances, the victims are able to escape; start new lives and move on, but, in more cases than you would like to imagine, the victims aren’t so fortunate.
